Refund Policy

1. Overview

We want you to be confident investing in your own development. This policy explains when a refund is available for a Course Plus purchase, how completion is assessed, and how to request one. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions.

2. Your statutory cooling-off rights

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have the right to cancel a purchase of digital content within 14 days without giving a reason. However, because Course Plus courses are delivered immediately upon purchase, by starting a course you expressly consent to immediate access and acknowledge that you lose the statutory right to cancel once access begins.

In place of the statutory cooling-off period, we offer the course-specific refund terms set out in Section 3, which are intended to be at least as generous as your statutory rights for a genuinely unused purchase.

3. Individual course refunds

You may request a full refund on an individual course purchase within 14 days of the purchase date, provided that:

• You have completed less than 30% of the course content, and
• No Certificate has been issued for that course

This mirrors standard practice across the online course industry: a genuine trial window for learners who find a course isn't the right fit, without allowing a course to be effectively "consumed for free" ahead of a refund.

4. When a refund isn't available

Refunds will not be issued where:

• The request is made more than 14 days after purchase
• 30% or more of the course content has been accessed or completed
• A Certificate has already been issued for the course
• The course was purchased using a non-refundable promotional credit, gift code, or as part of a bundle explicitly marked non-refundable at checkout

5. Team Training refunds

Monthly billing (Starter & Growth)

You may cancel at any time from your admin dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month; we do not offer partial refunds for time remaining in an active billing period.

Annual billing (Starter & Growth)

Annual plans may be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, annual plans are non-refundable for the remainder of the contracted term, though you may cancel auto-renewal at any time to prevent future charges.

6. Enterprise & White-Label refunds

Enterprise accounts are governed by the specific payment and cancellation terms agreed in your invoiced contract, which take precedence over this policy.

For White-Label licensing, one-off setup fees (where applicable) are non-refundable once account configuration has begun, as this reflects work already completed on your behalf. Ongoing platform/licence fees follow the same monthly or annual terms as Section 5, according to your chosen billing cycle.

7. How to request a refund

To request a refund, contact support@courseplus.co.uk or use our Contact page, quoting your order reference. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

8. Duplicate or accidental purchases

If you accidentally purchase the same course twice, or purchase a course you already have access to through a Team Training account, contact us and we will refund the duplicate charge in full, regardless of the 14-day window.

9. Chargebacks

If you're unhappy with a purchase, please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider — we're generally able to resolve refund requests faster directly. Accounts associated with unwarranted chargebacks may be suspended pending investigation.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will not apply retroactively to purchases made before the update took effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
