Digital Forensics for Pentesters - Hands-on Learning
Digital Forensics for Pentesters: Hands-on Learning is a practical course designed to introduce learners to digital forensic investigation, OSINT, memory forensics, malware analysis, reverse engineering, network analysis, and evidence collection. You will build a virtual forensic lab using VirtualBox and work with tools and platforms including CSI Linux, Kali Linux, Windows 10, Metasploitable2, Autopsy, Volatility, Ghidra, Sysinternals, Wireshark, Shodan, Sherlock, and Steghide. The course includes practical exercises for creating and examining forensic disk images, analysing Windows Registry evidence, investigating email headers, examining hidden and deleted folders, extracting metadata, and analysing memory.
Throughout the course, learners will gain hands-on experience with forensic investigation techniques and security analysis in controlled lab environments. Topics include OSINT investigations, wireless traffic analysis, TCP handshake capture, malware identification, reverse engineering, image and file metadata analysis, and forensic challenges through a dedicated CTF lab. This digital forensics training is suitable for learners who want to develop practical skills in cybersecurity, forensic investigation, penetration testing, incident analysis, and security research.
